door: jeroen berger, 6 maart 2017 nodosa shipyard ontwerpt, bouwt en repareert schepen voor de zee- en kustvaart. sinds 1982 heeft deze spaanse scheepswerf op gebied van visserijschepen verschillende typen gebouwd. variërend van trawlers, longliners en seiners. voor een nieuw te bouwen dieselelektrisch aangedreven longliner heeft nodosa shipyard onze partner vicusdt geselecteerd als leverancier voor de cfd optimalisatie van dit visserijschip. wat was de uitdaging van nodosa shipyard? de kernwaarden van nodosa shipyard zijn: kwaliteit, veiligheid, milieu en gericht op de toekomst. vanuit deze vier speerpunten worden de schepen ontworpen, gebouwd en gerepareerd. voor dit nieuw te bouwen visserijschip moesten deze waarden ook tot uitdrukking komen. hoe heeft nodosa shipyard deze uitdaging aangepakt? op gebied van kwaliteit en veiligheid laat nodosa shipyard het visserijschip, genaamd longliner cfl hunter, bouwen volgens de laatste kwaliteitsstandaard en regels van de verschillende classificatiebureaus waaronder bureau veritas, dnv gl en q2d. met betrekking tot het milieu heeft nodosa shipyard procedures ontwikkeld naar aanleiding van de iso 14001 en de emas standaarden. gericht op de toekomst heeft de organisatie onder andere een eigen research & development (r&d)-afdeling opgezet. dit hebben zij gedaan om te kunnen vernieuwen om zodoende met oplossingen te kunnen komen die niet alleen zullen leiden tot een kleinere milieudruk, maar ook tot kostenbesparingen en uiteindelijk tot een voor nodosa shipyard betere marktpositie. wat heeft vicusdt hieraan bijdragen? door gebruik te maken van geavanceerde computational fluid dynamics (cfd) software, heeft vicusdt dit visserijschip geoptimaliseerd. met cfd kon de hydrodynamische prestatie van de longliner cfl hunter nauwkeurig worden geanalyseerd. hierbij is de stroming en weerstand berekend om te zien welke verbeteringen er gedaan konden worden. de optimalisatiestudies hadden betrekking op de rompvorm, het scheepsroer ontwerp en het scheepsschroef ontwerp, waarbij vicusdt ook de cfd geoptimaliseerde scheepsschroef heeft mogen leveren. wat was het resultaat van de door vicusdt uitgevoerde werkzaamheden? de cfd optimalisatiestudies van vicusdt hebben geleid tot een besparing op de brandstofkosten van in totaal 14 procent. een besparing van 10 procent door de rompvorm te optimaliseren door een verbeterd ontwerp van de bow bulb en 4 procent door een verbeterd ontwerp van het scheepsroer en de scheepsschroef. nodosa shipyard was blij met het behaalde resultaat en was zeer te spreken over de praktische benadering van vicusdt. hiermee is de longliner cfl hunter klaar voor de toekomst. lees meer business cases uw gegevens worden vertrouwelijk behandeld. bekijk ons privacy beleid voor meer informatie.
