The story of Berger Maritiem began in 2013, when I, Kees Berger, transitioned into consultancy. With my background in ship engines and efficient propulsion, my focus expanded to advising shipping companies and shipowners on fleet sustainability at multiple levels. The involvement of my son, Jeroen Berger, strengthened this initiative, transforming it into a maritime consultancy specializing in sustainable shipping.
In response to our clients’ increasing demand for energy-saving and emission-reducing solutions, we established partnerships with various international organizations providing eco-friendly technologies for both new and existing ships. Over time, this has attracted a wide variety of companies specializing in sustainable maritime technologies. As a result, we have positioned ourselves as a maritime trade and consultancy firm offering a comprehensive range of sustainable products and services.
